Translation
The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, according to John.
At that time, Jesus said to his disciples:
š š°š¶ š¬šÆš°šø šµš©š¢šµ š¢š§šµš¦š³ šµšøš° š„š¢šŗš“ šµš©š¦ šš¢š“š“š°š·š¦š³ šŖš“ š¤š°š®šŖšÆšØ, š¢šÆš„ šµš©š¦ š“š°šÆ š°š§ š®š¢šÆ š“š©š¢šš š£š¦ š£š¦šµš³š¢šŗš¦š„ šµš° š£š¦ š¤š³š¶š¤šŖš§šŖš¦š„.
Then the chief priests and the elders of the people assembled together, at the palace of the high priest who was called Caiaphas, and consulted that they might take Jesus by subtlety, and kill him. But they said:
šš°šµ š°šÆ šµš©š¦ š§š¦š¢š“šµ š„š¢šŗ, šš¦š“šµ šµš©š¦š³š¦ š£š¦ š¢šÆ š¶š±š³š°š¢š³ š¢š®š°šÆšØ šµš©š¦ š±š¦š°š±šš¦.
Then Judas went out to the chief of the priests, and said to them:
šš©š¢šµ š¢š³š¦ šŗš¦ šøšŖšššŖšÆšØ šµš° šØšŖš·š¦ š®š¦ šŖš§ š š©š¢šÆš„ š©šŖš® š°š·š¦š³ šµš° šŗš°š¶?
And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. He gave them a sign, saying: šš¦ šµš©š¢šµ š š“š©š¢šš š¬šŖš“š“, šµš©š¢šµ šŖš“ š©š¦, š©š°šš„ š©šŖš® š§š¢š“šµ.
And when they came to Jesus, Judas said to him:
šš¢šŖš, šš¢š£š£šŖ! š¢šÆš„ š¬šŖš“š“š¦š„ š©šŖš®.
Jesus said to him: šš¶š„š¢š“, š„š° šŗš°š¶ š£š¦šµš³š¢šŗ šµš©š¦ šš°šÆ š°š§ š®š¢šÆ šøšŖšµš© š¢ š¬šŖš“š“?
Then the ministers led Jesus away to the high priest, who said:
š š“šøš¦š¢š³ šµš° šµš©š¦š¦ š£šŗ šµš©š¦ ššŖš·šŖšÆšØ šš°š„, šµš¦šš š¶š“ šŖš§ šŗš°š¶ š¢š³š¦ šµš©š¦ šš©š³šŖš“šµ, šµš©š¦ šš°šÆ š°š§ šµš©š¦ ššŖš·šŖšÆšØ šš°š„?
And Jesus said to him:
šš©š°š¶ š©š¢š“šµ š“š¢šŖš„ š“š°.
The second part
Therefore, Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged. And the soldiers wove a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and put a purple robe on him.
And Pilate said to the Jews:
šš¦š©š°šš„, šŗš°š¶š³ ššŖšÆšØ!
But they cried out, saying:
šš¦ š©š¢š·š¦ šÆš° š¬šŖšÆšØ, š£š¶šµ šš¢š¦š“š¢š³.
And Pilate said to them:
šš©š¢šµ šøšŖšš šŗš°š¶ šµš©š¦šÆ šµš©š¢šµ š š„š° š§š°š³ š©šŖš®?
And they said:
ššøš¢šŗ šøšŖšµš© š©šŖš®, š¢šøš¢šŗ šøšŖšµš© š©šŖš®, š¤š³š¶š¤šŖš§šŗ š©šŖš®.
Then Pilate said unto them:
šš©šŗ, šøš©š¢šµ š¦š·šŖš š©š¢šµš© š©š¦ š„š°šÆš¦?
But they cried out:
ššøš¢šŗ šøšŖšµš© š©šŖš®, š¢šøš¢šŗ šøšŖšµš© š©šŖš®, š¤š³š¶š¤šŖš§šŗ š©šŖš®.
And they crucified him. And with him two others, one on either side one, Jesus in the middle.
And some of the bystanders said: šš¢š©! šµš©š°š¶ šµš©š¢šµ šøš°š¶šš„ š„š¦š“šµš³š°šŗ šµš©š¦ šµš¦š®š±šš¦ š°š§ šš°š„, š¢šÆš„ šŖšÆ šµš©š³š¦š¦ š„š¢šŗš“ š³š¦š£š¶šŖšš„ šŖšµ.
The third part
And Jesus prayed for those who were crucifying him, saying:
šš¢šµš©š¦š³, š§š°š³šØšŖš·š¦ šµš©š¦š®, š§š°š³ šµš©š¦šŗ š¬šÆš°šø šÆš°šµ šøš©š¢šµ šµš©š¦šŗ š„š°.
And the thief hanging at his right hand said to him:
šš°š³š„, š³š¦š®š¦š®š£š¦š³ š®š¦ šøš©š¦šÆ šŗš°š¶ š¤š°š®š¦ šŖšÆšµš° šŗš°š¶š³ š¬šŖšÆšØš„š°š®.
And Jesus said to him:
šš³š¶ššŗ š š“š¢šŗ šµš° šµš©š¦š¦, šµš©šŖš“ š„š¢šŗ šµš©š°š¶ š“š©š¢ššµ š£š¦ šøšŖšµš© š®š¦ šŖšÆ š±š¢š³š¢š„šŖš“š¦.
He said to his mother:
šš°š®š¢šÆ, š£š¦š©š°šš„ šµš©šŗ š“š°šÆ.
Then he said to the disciple:
šš¦š©š°šš„, šŗš°š¶š³ š®š°šµš©š¦š³.
And he cried out, and said:
"ššš°šŖ, ššš°šŖ, šš¢š®š¢ š“š¢š£š¢š¤š©šµš©š¢šÆšŖ?"
that is to say, My God, hast thou forsaken me?
But the Jews cried out, saying:
šš©šŖš“ š®š¢šÆ š¤š¢ššš¦šµš© š§š°š³ šššŖš«š¢š©; šš¦šµ š©šŖš® š¢šš°šÆš¦; šš¦šµ š¶š“ š“š¦š¦ šøš©š¦šµš©š¦š³ šššŖš«š¢š© šøšŖšš š¤š°š®š¦ šµš° š“š¢š·š¦ š©šŖš®.
Jesus said:
š šµš©šŖš³š“šµ.
And they gave him sour wine mingled with gall; and when he had tasted, he would not drink thereof,
but he said:
šš¢šµš©š¦š³, šŖšÆšµš° šµš©šŗ š©š¢šÆš„š“ š š¤š°š®š®š¦šÆš„ š®šŗ š“š±šŖš³šŖšµ.
And then he said:
ššµ šŖš“ š§šŖšÆšŖš“š©š¦š„.
And He bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
Having suffered for us, have mercy on us.
Amen.
