Rochester Early Music Festival

The Rochester Early Music Festival celebrates Rochester and Western New York's richly varied culture of Early Music performance and scholarship. Now in its 19th year, the REMF brings together soloists and ensembles playing music of the Medieval period through the Baroque. Ten days of exciting events will be spread over two weeks (Nov. 6-10, 12 and 14-17).  The REMF strives to bring this glorious repertoire to a broad audience, available for nominal ticket prices or a free-will offering. Many of the performances this year will be held at the Historic Calvary St. Andrew's Church at ROC Salt Center, a beautiful and acoustically wonderful performance space located at 68 Ashland St. (Map, on the corner of Averill) On street parking is often available, and there is ample parking nearby at the corner of South Avenue and Averill (across Averill St. from the Abundance Coop - see Map above).

Back by popular demand! What happens when Beer meets Early Music? Come find out when the Flower City Beer Choir sings early music at the Old Stone Tavern (Map) in the South Wedge. All are welcome to drink and sing! This event will take place on Tuesday, 11/12. Come join us!

Don't miss the capstone Gala concert on Friday November 15, 2019: a night of musical offerings from artists and ensembles throughout the region, truly representing the musical treasures of the past. See expanded description below.
