Every summer Musica Spei (Music of Hope) presents a series of

Renaissance Summer Sings

in which we provide an opportunity for members of the community to join with each other and members of Musica Spei to sing a wide variety of choral music of the 13th to early 17th centuries. Our vast library, drawn from sources at Sibley Library (Eastman School of Music) and elsewhere, comes from England, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the Franco-Flemish region, among others. We sing in a friendly, informal gathering within the acoustic splendor of Rochester's Saint Anne Church.

The 2011 sings will be Wednesday nights, July 6 through August 10, at 7:30 PM
Saint Anne Church
1600 Mount Hope Avenue, Rochester

No need to register -- just show up! We usually sing for about two hours, usually in the sanctuary, otherwise in the Social Hall or another room. Signs will direct you. We invite you to contribute $3 per evening to defray our photocopying costs.
